This presentation includes the early study of probability, then details the contributions from Renaissance mathematicians like Pascal, Laplace, Gauss, Euler, Bayes, and DeMoivre. The modern development and application of statistics by Quetelet, Galton, Pearson, Gossett, Fisher, Wicoxon, Kruskal and Wallis, Spearman, Dunnett, and Keuls will also be discussed. The presentation concludes on the influence of computers and related technologies on statistics.
