Title: The Effectiveness of an Unconventional Circuits Engineering Course Taught at Campbell University
Developed under the guidance of Dr. Ana Rynearson , School of Engineering
Classes offered at the college level do not always adhere to everyone’s learning preference. Campbell University offered an unconventionally taught Engineering Circuits course in the Spring of 2018 to counteract this. By using concept inventories and a student survey, connections between teaching style and learning were evaluated. Because both of the concept inventories yielded a gain in performance before and after the class, students showed improvement overall. These results, in accordance with positive feedback on the student survey, make it reasonable to say that the Engineering Circuits course taught at Campbell University effectively helped students learn difficult circuits concepts.
