Title: Differences in Sleep and Exercise Behaviors According to Fitness Levels
Developed under the guidance of Dr. Bradley J. Myers , College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences

Physical activity (PA) and physical fitness (PF) are important factors in morbidity/mortality. Common measures of PF include: maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max), the maximum push-up test (PU), and hang-grip strength (GS). The purpose of this study was to compare PA and sleep in low, moderate, and high performers of VO2max, PU, and GS. One hundred seven participants categorized, according to normative PF values, were compared across self-reported PA and sleep characteristics utilizing three Kruskal-Wallis tests. PA and sleep did not vary between VO2max or GS; however, low PU performance exhibited poorer sleep quality and less resistance training per week.
