Title: Metastatic Invasive Lobular Breast Cancer Demonstrating Fibrosis
Developed under the guidance of Dr. Howard Reisner and Dr. Maxx Toler , School of Osteopathic Medicine

Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) is the second most common form and makes up approximately 5-10% of invasive breast cancers. The average age of diagnosis is 64 years and at diagnosis, about 60% of women will already have lymph node involvement and distant organ metastasis. This poster demonstrates a case of ILC characterized by a right breast mass, fibrotic peritoneal adhesions and an enlarged spleen demonstrating metastatic cells. The marked fibrosis exhibited in the breast and spleen are not well documented in the literature.
