This paper will discuss Terry Stops and how they relate to vehicle searches and the history surrounding Terry Stops. This paper will discuss the Fourth Amendment and it’s creation and also how Terry Stops are an important tool for Law Enforcement. Furthermore, this paper will explain the appropriate and inappropriate ways Terry Stops are used. Finally, this paper will examine recent Supreme Court cases that apply to vehicle searches and Terry Stops. In conclusion, this paper will explore opinions, suggested reforms, and any final thoughts.
