Title: An Introduction to the Theory of Knots
Developed under the guidance of Dr. Brittany Hansen , Mathematics

Knot theory, in the branch of mathematics known as topology, is the mathematical study of knots. This field of research has been around for only a little more than a hundred years. In this presentation the basics of knot theory will be discussed, as well as some of its application. This information was gathered from "The Knot Book: An Elementary Introduction of the Mathematical Theory of Knots" by Colin Adams.
