Title: Feminine Authority within the Chivalry of Le Morte Darthur

Gendered roles within medieval England rely and conflict to primarily produce outcomes of masculine authority. Women however, through passive means, are able wield considerable amounts of power in the Morte. Chivalry, an institution traditionally seen as masculine dominated, generates the adventurous narrative from which the heroines passively garner authority.
