Sexual communication plays a part in sexual well-being often relayed from the caregiver to patients with intellectual and physical disabilities. Therefore, a qualitative research study was conducted to investigate barriers that prevent communication of sexuality specific information between healthcare providers and patients with physical and intellectual disabilities in routine care.
