Title: A Case for the Engagement of African Trinitarian Theologies with Traditional Trinitarian Theologies

A post-colonial theological movement has been unfolding on the African continent, calling into question traditional Trinitarian language as relics of Western imperialism. In contrast, on the basis of John Mbiti’s communal concept of African humanity, I claim that African Trinitarian theologies must engage the traditional Trinitarian constructions as an ally.
